Katie's birthday is May 25th but we celebrate on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. I usually have to work on Saturday and Fred (Chris' Dad) is in the St. Andrew's pipe and drum band. They play in parades all over the state on Memorial Day. So, Sunday it is!
This year Katie is 4 years old. She requested a princess themed party and I think we delivered. We made a princess castle cake, had crown and wand decorating for the kiddos, had crowns for the adults (the queens and kings), drank pink princess punch, and had a royally good time!
A special thanks to my Mom, Brenda, for helping to pull it all together and for cleaning up afterward! Also to Auntie Lindsay who did a great job decorating and supervised the crafting, and Chris' Mom, Leigh, who made sure that Porter ate on time and didn't wander off; which allowed us to focus on the birthday girl and our guests.
